Ants on a Log – At 11 a.m., a free concert for families at Dickinson Square Park, 1717 Moyamensing Ave. The band’s award-winning music centers on positivity, social justice and silliness. 

July 13

Reading Terminal Ice Cream Festival – From noon to 4 p.m., one of the largest ice cream festivals in America is back on Filbert Street. In addition to Bassetts, 10 local ice cream artisans will join in the fun alongside Reading Terminal Market merchants. The event will feature ice cream eating contests, sweet treat specials, food demonstrations, live entertainment and more.   

July 14

ASHM Craft & Demonstration Day – From noon to 4 p.m., the American Swedish Historical Museum invites those who would like to demonstrate or sell their hemslöjd, or handmade, crafts at its Craft Fair and Demonstration Day. The event will feature crafts, family activities and food. There is no vendor fee for demonstrators and a $25 fee for those selling their crafts. August 17

Vegandale – At the Navy Yard, a diverse and growing list of food, beverage and lifestyle vendors from around the world, promising attendees an opportunity to try the best and newest in vegan products. In particular, the Philadelphia edition is set to showcase both local and vendors from around the world, offering an opportunity for attendees to try dishes and products not readily available elsewhere. The festival brings a blend of music, food and art. Tickets can be purchased from vegandalefest.com

Eddie Griffin – At 8 p.m. at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, comedian-turned-actor Eddie Griffin will bring his stand-up comedy tour to the Live! Event Center. Griffin is known for his comedic roles in the films “Norbit,” “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” “Scary Movie 3” and “Scary Movie 5”.
