Former President Donald Trump stopped at Tony & Nick’s Steaks, 39 E. Oregon Ave., on Saturday before his campaign rally at Temple’s Liacouras Center.
Trump arrived at about 5:30 p.m. and greeted customers and supporters who’d been tipped that he might be making an appearance.
Supporters wore Trump gear, and he autographed various items.
One man wore a “Make Philly Great Again” T-shirt with a picture of the late former Mayor Frank L. Rizzo.
Supporters chanted “USA,” with one man saying, “Mr. President, South Philly loves you.” ••
